Chilling in Arizona

Hello from Palm Creek Resort in Casa Grande, Arizona. Now that we park ourselves for 7 months each season, we should change the name of our travelogues to Sitting on a Log. When we travel we are very busy setting up and tearing down "camp". And we are taking photos (100-500 per week), visiting people and places and writing to you. So how do we fill our time each day at Palm Creek?

The resort has dozens and dozens of resort sponsored activities: Pickleball, golf, tennis, lawn bowling, art workshops, concerts, dances, games, dinners and more. While we take advantage of many of these activities, we find many more things to do.

Mike has massive audio, video and karaoke equipment. He often sets up for an evening and all are welcome to join in, snack, dance and sing the night away.

The sunsets in Arizona are awesome. They are so good as there are no mountains or big trees to get in the way.

Friends come to visit. Dennis and Lynda came from Paso Robles, California. Sister Donnalee and Don came from Green Valley, Arizona. Mike and Debbie are from Boise, Idaho. You too are welcome. If you come in December or April you should be able to stay in our park model.

More sunsets.

Our street is the Twilight Zone, where our neighbor Dusty sets up his equipment for fun and dance.

Yes, even more.

Pete and Jim went to a car show just two miles from the resort. Jim stands near a car like the one he had as a youngster. Pete's 55 Chevy was this exact color, but a 210 sedan, not a wagon.

Playing cards and table games happen every week.

We play pickleball 3 hours everyday. On this day we watched friends Brad and Jim play in a Palm Creek PB tournament.

We spend some time selling Andrew's paintings. Our friends Bev and Steve purchased Elephant Wash and Protege, framed and hung in their house. See all of Andrew's work at Andrew D Mattson Art. We do some of our own artwork if ever we need to fill some time. Praise the Lord!

We'll write again when we have the time.

With love, Pete and Ellen

There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens: a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build, a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance, a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing, a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away, a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak, a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace. Ecclesiastes 3:1-8
