Week 898-905 - Merry Christmas 2023 - 12-25-2023

Merry Christmas 2023, we are blessed!

No not Arizona, but October 4th, 2009 in Bend Oregon. We're still waiting for snow in Casa Grande.

We pray you are blessed as we celebrate the birth of Jesus. He was born a man in Bethlehem, but He is our Lord. Crucified, buried, rose again, He died to cover all our sins.

He is the gift of Christmas and the Reason for the Season.

The residents of Palm Creek celebrated Christmas with a golf cart parade in front of the MotherShip.

In 2011, we received another gift from God, when we adopted Mandy, the Morkie. We adopted her in 2011 from Clinton, Missouri.

Mandy loves her momma, loves grass and concrete, hates dirt, rocks and weeds.

Sam was the inspiration for getting Mandy and they are best friends.

Mandy is not a lap dog, but she loves to be close.

She took care of Ellen after her eye surgery; never leaving her side and loves to join in for yoga.

Pete loves Mandy too, as he likes to sleep late and Mandy sleeps later.

Mandy does not care much for people, she's an animal lover.

She likes them all, crabs, cats and big things.

Mandy probably thought Davie Jean was a large dog or cat and Mandy loves Chief.

Mandy has lived in the MotherShip her whole life. She loves to hide in different places.

She tries to hide behind the curtain, sleeps on the counter and says from the boot "you can't find me!"

Mandy loves the ScooterShip. She climbs up by herself and says "its time to ride." She likes the JeepShip too. One place she does not love is being on a leash.

We always enjoy Mandy's impressions. Here she is as a rabbit, a frazzled old man and as Liza Minnelli.

Sylvester the Cat, Sherlock Bones and a wild cat on the beach.

A resident of California, The Flying Nun and Brad Pitt.

Jabba the Hutt, Hollywood star and a happy dog.

Mandy always wants to be outdoors, but she wants someone with her. If you let her sit on the step, after a few minutes alone, she comes back in. A couple of months ago Pete starting sitting with her every afternoon. It took just two weeks for Mandy to be in charge. She would sit by the door at 4:00 pm. Did she have to go? "No, Dad, its time for Yappy Hour."

What a great time for Mandy to be in the place she loved the most.

Mandy passed away on December 11th.

We are so blessed that God gave her to us, to be with her everyday, all day, for 12 years.

New Years we will raise a cup with grateful hearts to the Lord for all the ways that Mandy blessed us.

Thank you Janice for the cup and thank you to all our friends that showed your love to Mandy.
