Week 770 - Favorite Photos #39 Louisville, Mandy and Bryce Canyon - 05-16-2021
Favorite Photos #39 Louisville, Mandy and Bryce Canyon
Usually our favorite photos are chosen as we luck into great images.
But, sometimes they are favorites because they bring to mind a great experience.
To find these photos we scan chronologically through our 94,000+ pictures taken.
This week's photo are from our September 2011 trip to Louisville for our engine repair.
The MotherShip at the Louisville, Kentucky Cummins Service Center.
A favorite as we paid less than half of what the California Cummins's quoted.
Preston, the former Cummins Consumer Advocate, secured us a $4,000 discount for the MotherShip parts.
He will always be one of our favorites.
This beautiful mansion was on the way from Cummins to "our yacht" on the Ohio River.
"Our Yacht", the Duckmeister, is where we spent a week during the repair.
Don, a Louisville Elks member, offered this stay for free. "Elks Care, Elks Share".
Read about the whole repair at
MotherShip Repair.
After the repair it seemed appropriate to adopt Mandy.
Like father, like dog. Mandy quickly took to computer programming.
General/President Dwight David Eisenhower at his Presidential Library on the route from Kentucky to Kansas to Utah. See more at
Eisenhower Library.
Colorado's Highway 70. There are miles of this freeway that are picture worthy.
That includes this tunnel and miles of cantilevered roadway.
We like to say that "a rest stop in Utah would be a monument in any other state."
Mandy, at 8 weeks old, enjoying her first big walk.
Mandy, the early years!
The tunnel on the way to Bryce Canyon National Park, Utah.
One of hundreds of incredible sites at Bryce Canyon.
Ellen enjoys the sunlit rocks. Next week we will present a Bryce Canyon National Park Photo Collection.
You can see a preview at
Bryce Canyon.
Our short trip this past week from Nevada's Treasure RV Resort to Golden Village Palms.
We'll be at GVP for a month. Since there will be nothing new to report, we'll bring more favorite photos.
With love, Pete, Ellen and Mandy
