Week 608-610 - Be on the Lookout - 04-22-2018
Be on the Lookout
Where in the World are the Mattsons? They were last known to be at the SmashBurger in Laughlin, Nevada.
Close to that was Bullhead City, Arizona. Oh! Here they are at Roberts Resorts Vista Del Sol RV Resort
in Bullhead. This fairly new resort has beautiful very wide red gravel sites.
On the first night the ominous weather left them with 40 mph winds. So strong were the winds that they
brought in all the slides as the canvas slide toppers were flapping more than the wings of a thousand
pterodactyls.
For the next six days they played pickleball with Pat and Bill, both Canucks. Pat has been in the USA
for 20 years on a visa. After a few days of play they both realized that they met in February at the
Two Springs RV Resort pickleball courts in North Palm Springs.
Vista Del Sol is a wonderful resort with lots of houses, park models and RV lots. Sitting on a hilltop
with nice views, the Mattsons are not sure if the winds were an aberration. After the first night the winds were a godsend for cooling down the 90+ degree temps.
From Bullhead City they were tracked down in Bakersfield at the River Run RV Resort.
This is not a destination park, except for the many folks staying here full time, no doubt working
in the Bakersfield area. The small pool and spa are nice.
However, if you have 130 foot RV, this is your park. This extra long pull through is meant for two
families to share. The first can pull in, followed by another RV. Then the front can pull out or
the second can back out if they leave first. After visiting 424 RV parks, the Mattsons have never
seen a longer pull through.

"Two RVers on the loose"
This photo from 2006.
Again in 2009 in Alaska.
Using age progression, this may be what they look like in 2018.
They are possibly squatting at this property in Atascadero.
They might be seen driving this 1970 Cadillac Fleetwood or perhaps they have started a used car
parking lot at this property.
If you spot them, do not approach. They are known to the "Alarmed and Generous". Willing to share
their squatted property with those who enjoy pickleball or oh, hell, I dunno, card parties.
If you suspect their whereabouts, call (805) 610-1314 to acknowledge their presence and accept an invitation
to all activities including pickleball, card parties, fellowship and just plain fun.
Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.

With love, Pete, Ellen and Mandy
