Week 483 - Lewiston/Clarkson Photo Collection - 11-15-2015
Lewiston / Clarkston Photo Collection
Heading from Chelan to Clarkston, Washington on Highway 195 you are
treated to the round hay bales along the road.
Highway 195 is decorated with large farms and great scenery.
A moored boat on the Snake River at Lewiston, Idaho.
Hell's Canyon (RV) Resort is in Clarkson. A nice park that we may
try on our next trip. On this trip we stayed at Hell's Gate State
Park in Lewiston, Idaho and Granite Lake RV Park in Clarkston.
This is the Old Spiral Highway that connects Idaho's Hwy 95 with the
cities of Lewiston / Clarkston.
Old Spiral Highway looks like a slot car track the Pete built in the
1960's.
This is a one of the best motorcycle roads in the Northwest. We
took it up and down on the scooter. We also rode the Mothership
down and got 140 miles per gallon. We would have gotten about 1.5
mpg going up.
The beauty of the Columbia Queen was enhanced by this young lady
riding her bike.
Lewiston / Clarkston is on the shores of the confluence of the
Clearwater and Snake Rivers shown here.
The Columbia Queen leaving the city of Clarkson and heading nearly
500 miles to Portland, Oregon.
Another view of the river confluence taken from the west side of the
Snake River in Clarkston.
Leaving Lewiston / Clarkston and heading toward Missoula, Montana
along the Clearwater River on Highway 12.
The Clearwater River stretches 74 miles and you get to ride at the
river's edge for most of the trip.
After leaving the Clearwater River, you get to follow the Lochsa
River for much of the remainder of the trip to Missoula.
This is such a beautiful area and should be added to your RV bucket
list.
Until next week, love, Pete, Ellen and Mandy
