Week 482 - Lake Chelan Photo Collection - 11-08-2015
Lake Chelan Photo Collection
The city of Chelan is in Eastern Washington State. It borders Lake
Chelan on three sides on the eastern end of the lake. This photo
collection features Lake Chelan and the Columbia River (near the
tiny town of Chelan Falls). Lake Chelan is a skinny lake stretching
50 miles from the North Cascade mountains to the city of Chelan.
The first few miles on the eastern border of Lake Chelan are dotted
with homes ranging from mansions to older homes that have been there
for a century.
Lake Chelan is a natural lake. In 1927 a dam was built to raise the
water level by 20 feet. The water is as clear as any swim pool or
Caribbean island beach.
Ellen captured the BNSF train as we took a scooter ride along the
Columbia River.
Docks at Beebe Bridge county park, our favorite RV campground in
Eastern Washington.
Beebe Bridge Park is right on the Columbia River. The flow of the
river varies from rushing waters
. . .
. . . to the still waters shown here, allowing for great
photos of mirrored images.
We enjoyed watching this ultra lite pilot doing touch-and-go
landings on the Columbia River.
The tiny 329 person town of Chelan Falls has a pretty little park
within biking distance of Beebe Bridge Park.
We remain at Golden Village Palms RV Resort in Hemet, California.
Pete will be commuting 100 miles to North Hollywood for the next few
months. Ellen will have a knee replacement on December 2nd in
Rancho Mirage. We appreciate prayers for safety for Pete's weekly
commute and for quick and perfect healing of Ellen's knee.
Until next week, blessing from Pete, Ellen and Mandy.
