Week 461-463 - Doctors Calling - 06-28-2015

Back in Atascadero to see the Doctors

Good news, Ellen needs a knee operation! So we are back on California's Central Coast to see the docs.

Why is that good news? Ellen's knee has been hurting for years. A few months ago her North County doctor said she was not ready for an operation and gave her a cortisone shot. It seemed to work, but only for a couple of weeks. Now, we have returned to Atascadero and after an MRI, Ellen is ready for a minor knee repair. With great doctor skill and a blessing from the Lord, Ellen will be back enjoying her activities without knee pain.

As we will be in the area for an unknown amount of time, we don't want to stop our travelogues. Rather than wait until we travel again, we will populate our weekly travelogues with information for those who might want to travel full time or many months out of the year.

In August 2006 our travelogues began as an "email to the folks back home". Since then, they have grown to become our website Big Rig Bible. Our website focuses on living Full Time in a Motorhome. As of June 2015, the site has 689 pages of information, over 12,000 photos, 277 RV parks and campgrounds and 95 Elks lodges. Those with no knowledge of RV travel can learn everything they need about initial research and purchasing a diesel motorhome. It continues with Pre-Delivery Inspection, "The First Few Months", New Owner Tips, Full Timing Costs, RV accessories, Communication Products, Scooters/Motorcycles, Finding RV Parks, link to dozens and dozens of relevant RV and Non-RV websites, Computer Tips, Photography Tips, Motorhome Procedures and Maintenance Schedules. Our RV Park listing shows photos of parks we have visited with hookups, ratings and links to their websites.

We will expand our current pages and add more detail about this fascinating life style. While we live full time in the MotherShip, 80% to 90% of what we write applies to any RV travel in any vehicle type for any amount of time.
