What a Difference a Weak Makes!

Last travelogue we laid our travel plans for the next few months shown in the map below.

"Visit Emily and Chad near Paradise, then to Pete's sister Donnalee's in Redding. Head to the Monaco Service Center in Coburg, Oregon with the rest of the trip planned but not for sure". Thus far our trip has happened as planned. Along the way we played several days of Pickleball at three venues; it was really fun!

Last week we said "The rest is up for grabs but this is what we charted on our map." and "However, the above is just an idea, reality may not participate."

Reality has not participated! Ellen had planned to have knee surgery this spring in Atascadero but the doctor said she was not ready. So we started playing Pickleball again and would get surgery if the severe pain returned. Getting back into Pickleball had us entering several tournaments and plans for more social play along the way.

It only took four days of social play to take its toll on Ellen's weak knee. As such we have to scuttle all our plans and head back to Atascadero.

Pickleball tournament in Washougal, Washington.
Another tournament in Bend, Oregon.
A SOWER's Christian ministry stay in Marsing, Idaho.
We will visit one of our website clients at 5 Peaks RV Park in Joseph, Oregon.
From there will be attending the wedding of Emily's head basketball coach Greg Hardie in Lewiston, Idaho.
West to Corvallis, Oregon for a PB tournament with Gordon and Karen.
North to Anacortes, Washington to visit Clint and Jackie.
East to Chelan, Washington to see Colly and Wally.
Continue East to Coeur d'Alene for PB tournament.
Onto Belgrade, Montana to see Pete's brother Mike.
South through Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons.
Down to see Star Valley Ranch in Wyoming where some PB friends have RV lots.
Continue through Utah ending up in St. George.

So unlike our October 2012 travelogue "Planning vs Reality", this plan was not even close. We are very disappointed to miss the friends we had hoped to see.

For our praying friends, we would appreciate prayer for Ellen and wisdom for her doctor.

With love, Pete, Ellen and Mandy
