Full Time Motorhome Living by the Numbers

The end of 2014 marks 8 years and 9 months of living full time in the Mothership. While our travels have slowed we still enjoy the open road, meeting new people, visiting friends and relatives and seeing more of the amazing USA and Canada. Here are a few numbers from our travels.

Our overnight stays have included: 267 RV Parks, 92 Elks Lodges, 22 homes, 2 schools, 4 SOWERs projects, 10 truck stops, 3 business parks, 2 churches, 40 Walmarts, 1 doctor's office, 1 Lowes, 2 hotels, 1 timeshare, 2 rest stops, 1 airport, 1 weigh station, 13 casinos, 4 Cracker Barrels and 36 boondocks. Our average fee per overnight stay is under $15; the lowest $0.00 and the highest $82.00 for one night.

Many folks have asked us "What is your favorite place?". Our answer is always "the people". We have met thousands and hundreds have become memorable friends and dozens are now close friends. If we have to name our actual favorite place then hands down, it is Alaska. The Alaskans are hospitable, freedom abounds and "every picture is a postcard"; it's America as it should be.
