Week 1020-1021 - Party Animals - 03-15-2026
Party Animals
People come from all over the United States and Canada to Palm Creek.
The most popular season is January to March each year.
As March comes to a close there are a lot of Goodbye Parties.
One of ours was this one, a few blocks from the MotherShip.

A band composed of residents of Palm Creek came to serende us with rock and country.

The potluck dinner was huge and fabulous with tri-tip, ribs, chicken, beans, salads, bread and desserts.

The party was great but we weren't done. So we grabbed a plane to head to Art's birthday party in Bradley, California.

Art, Ellen's little brother is turning 70.
He sits here with his hands up, explaining the meaning of life to Bob (left) and Keith (right).
Art, Keith and Bob have been friends since 4th grade.

Art and his lovely wife Kelli live on acreage, north of Lake San Antonio.
Art likes everthing so he has long horn steer, chickens, lambs and dozens of old vehicles.
His collection of old motorcycles numbers 66+.

Kelli hosts the party.

The youngsters show off the latest 70's trends in their bell bottoms.

Ellen's sisters, Janice and Carla, welcome us.

Our "sons": Andrew our son; Austin our grandson; Mario our Son-in-law.

Nephew Jared, brother in law Frank and Brian nephew in law.

Ellen parties with daughter Melissa and son-in-law Mario.

It's time to eat and it was great: tri-tip, chicken, beans, salads and bread.
Do you see a pattern here?

The food was great and the hawk was hoping to partake.

Most of the 55 party goers.

Bob, Keith and Art. Keith and Art's birthdays are on the same day, so each had their own cake.
Bob's birthday is just two weeks later.

God offered a beautiful sunset. The kids probably never noticed!

After seeing many of our immediate family, we flew back home to Palm Creek, to find another party.
And we did! The
2nd Annual Cornhole on the Fairway Tournament.
Dave and Gail hosted this spectacular event with a potluck. Dave prepares the 10 team cornhole bracket.

The potluck was great. The first teams began right away, shrinking the bracket.

Last year's champions were Dennis and Jean. Their opponents were J.M. and Jane.
J.M. has two bags on the board. Dennis's red bag is trying to overcome J.M.'s lead.
Jean tosses her bag looking for points. But, to no avail, Jane and J.M. knocked Dennis and Jean out.

Pete and Ellen eliminated two teams on the way to the finals, then captured the victory.
They're smiling having a terrific cornhole day.
Thank you Dave and Gail.

The perpetual trophy belongs to them for the year.

Well, the parties are over (until next week!).
With love, Pete and Ellen, the Party Animals, Grrrrr!
