Week 29 - San Diego - 03-04-2007

Hello from San Diego!

Our visit home was a little hectic, but we accomplished many things. We saw all of Ellen's brothers and sisters, some of her nephews and their kids; Ellen got a shot of cortisone for her wrist; Pete checked up on our house; we saw all the grandkids; saw our son, John, a couple times, and spent some much needed time with our youngest son, Andy.

Ellen drove our motorhome up 4th street in Paso, with Pete and brother-in-law Frank on top trimming trees so we could make it up to Frank and Janice's house. We had a wonderful spot for the week. But sometime during the week, we realized that we had cracks on both sides of the windshield. We were happy to make it to San Diego without it breaking completely. We will get it fixed while we take a break.

View through our cracked windshield.  It will be covered by warranty, but rumor has it that a new 4 foot by 8 foot windshield costs about $3,000.00!

Ellen left her brace on at the airport and got "beeped". Then she had her cell phone in her pocket and got "beeped".  Then they gave our little terrorist the full body scan.

The last six months of RVing has been tough!  So we are taking a break and spending the next week in Maui, Hawaii for some R and R.

Aloha, Pete and Ellen

Our mascot is officially named, "Scary Hairy".  Did you see him in the last picture?
