Favorite Photos #36 Maui, Hawaii

It is warming up in Atascadero, but we would rather be on Maui. Come with us as we reminisce.

Welcome to our resort, Marriott Ocean Club on Ka'anapali Beach.

Entering the welcome center you get a peek at the fabulous pool area.

A view from our upper story ocean view balcony.

At the pool level, the waterfall and waterslide.

Ellen stops along the walk north toward Black Rock.

The beauty is endless.

Surfers enjoying the day.

If you have to jog, there is not a nicer place.

Black Rock is a great place to snorkel.

We were not too surprised to meet up with Ellen's cousins Bob and Barb, as it seems that they are here every other week!

The largest banyan tree in the USA at Lahaina. It covers almost two acres

Time for us to get out on the water.

Parasailing and fishing are prevalent.

We head out to snorkel at Molokini, the tip of a dormant volcano. Snorkeling was great, the boat ride not so much!

But a quick recovery back on the island.

We always make a trip to Haleakala volcano where the temperature drops 40 degrees from the beach.

God's artwork and yes, plants grow in the lava.

We crammed into the back of our PT Cruiser to stay warm, waiting for the sunset.

We think its going to be awesome.

And it was worth the wait in the chill.

As we close the day, we take a last peek at the pools at Ocean Club.

We close this travelogue hoping you enjoyed it and whetting our appetite for a future visit.

Thanks for coming with us, love, Pete & Ellen (and Mandy who did not get to come).

All photos are taken with our Sony CyberShot DSC-HX200V, a prosumer camera. Most shots are taken on auto and we do not modify our favorite photos, not even cropped. If you just frame your photos well, God's creation is enough to get you great pictures.
