Week 596 - Indio FMCA Rally 2018 - 01-14-2018

Indio FMCA Rally 2018

We spent this week at the FMCA Motorhome Rally in Indio, California. We joined the California Coasters chapter. There were 840 motorhomes representing about 1,500 members. Events included seminars, vendor exhibits, service companies, new motorhomes, dinners and nightly entertainment.

We enjoyed the fellowship of the 28 Coasters from our chapter, but everyone missed Steve and Sue.

Pete gave a seminar on Your Life Scheduler TellMeDaily. This amazing application can schedule maintenance on your car, motorcycle, motorhome, RV and even devices in your house. Anything that needs routine service can be scheduled. In addition it will schedule birthdays, anniversaries, doctor appointments, tasks and shopping lists. When your spouse goes shopping, you can sit at home and add things to the list!

This program is available for free for the next couple of days. Just launch TellMeDaily.com and use the Subscription Code FMCA18. For the dozen folks who helped us develop this program three years ago your lifetime membership is still valid. If you don't remember your User Name, just contact us.

Pete and Ellen also presented the Full Time Wannabes Seminar to help those who want to travel full time with their questions. For 75 minutes we presented lots of material and answered dozens of questions from the 40 attendees.

That was fun, but spending a week in one place was frightening! Now we are off the see the sights. As always our path is subject to change. But, as of today, it is Lake Cahuilla Recreational Area, good friends Clint and Jackie, Quartzsite with good friends Gordon and Karen, wandering the wilderness for two weeks like Moses, and Catalina Spa in Desert Hot Springs. Then we will meet up with Steve and Sue at Two Springs RV Resort in Desert Hot Springs, Golden Village Palms in Hemet, six more weeks of wandering, pick up some grand kids in Long Beach, California, entertain the kids, drop them off and then return to our wanderings. Sound good? Come on along, we try to be entertaining.

We missed a couple of photos from last week; sunset view from SKP Saguaro Co-op RV park in Benson, Arizona.

The Saguaro park shown from the water tower hill.

1) View of roadrunner as seen by everyone else. 2) Pete's view. Can't wait for cataract surgery this summer.

On the way to Indio, we saw this property in Yuma for $64,500 (asking). Two motorhomes can share this lot. You own it; no HOA fees. You pay for utilities and $200 annual property tax. If we ever wanted a property again this would be an inexpensive way to stay warm in the winters.

Entertainment at the FMCA rally included this pre-show act of sand painting. Miss Bree painted this picture by dropping sand through her fingers. It took less that five minutes and she did it upside down.

1) Our California Coaster's site at the rally. 2) Good friends Tim and Vikki visited us for the day. It was easy to find the rally; just turn right on Jackson Street.

This little dog was shooting the bull with a new friend.

Dinner time at the Coaster's tent. Nice folks to spend the week with.

Okay, now we're off on some new adventures. Tag along if you like. And remember, it is not just about us. Write to us and let us know the blessings in your life.

With love, Pete, Ellen and Mandy
