Week 375 - Motorhome Shopping - 10-20-2013

Motorhome Shopping

Since leaving Rancho California last week, we stayed for five days across the street at Jojoba Hills RV Resort. We have many friends there, but it was too early in the season and none of them had arrived yet. None the less we spent an enjoyable time with beautiful weather. We did a lot of vehicle maintenance: Armorall'd the scooter and attached a pair of cup holders. On the Mothership we patched a water leak, painted the motorcycle rack, installed a new sewer dump valve and replaced the weatherstripping on the front door.

Motorhome shopping? No, not shopping for a motorhome, but taking the Mothership to the mall!

We took a couple days to get to the Phoenix area and shopped for four days in about a dozen shopping centers. Took the scooter in for a tune-up as it is randomly running rough. This is the fourth dealer we have had look at it and each time it runs perfect at the repair shop. During our shopping stops, Pete worked in the Mothership trying to outpace Ellen's spending in the stores. Mission accomplished. We got a few new clothes and books for the flight next week to Hawaii!

Hawaii? Yes, we are once again headed to Hawaii, this time to the island of Kauai. We know we just went this year, but we could not resist the invitation from cousins Bobby and Barb who had a spare bedroom in their condo.

So we are off to Kauai for a week and we'll be back before you know it.

Mahalo for traveling with us.

Aloha, love Pete and Ellen.

Hawaii is pet unfriendly. The island are rabies-free and since other states do not require domestic pets to be vaccinated against rabies, they will not allow your pets to come along. Mandy is pretty bummed about it.

This special edition travelogue was brought to you as there is nothing new in our travel.
